February 20-24th, 2023 Lloyd read selected poems by himself and other African-American poets for Spokane Public Radio’s Poetry Moment. This podcast feature allowed Lloyd to give context to his work “A Taste of Freedom,” after its successful world premiere February 4 & 5, 2023 by the Spokane Symphony Orchestra and Chorale. “A Taste of Freedom” is the 3rd collaboration between world renown Haitian-American composer Sydney Guillaume and Lloyd Reshard Jr.

Listen to each of Lloyd’s narrations:

February 20thA Taste of Freedom” by Lloyd Reshard Jr.

February 21stAmerica, Our Prize” by Lloyd Reshard Jr.

February 22ndLost and Found in Tallahassee” by L. Lamar Wilson

February 23rd Poems by Paul Laurence Dunbar

February 24thThis, Too, Shall Pass” by Lloyd Reshard Jr.

Special Thanks to Spokane Public Radio Jim Tevenan, E. J. Iannelli, & Michael Ebinger. None of this would not have been possible without the inspiration of Kristina Ploeger-Hekmatpanah, Sydney Guillaume, Eastern Washington University Singers & Africana Studies, Ron and Sue Runyon, and the Spokane Symphony under the direction of Maestro James Lowe.
